King Georg visited in June 1792 his relatives in Kirchheimbolanden

 

The British King Georg III stayed some days in Kibo. On the way down the Rhine River, he visited Prince William V. of the Netherlands in Den Haag. Both Royals travelled together to Kirchheimbolanden to meet their relatives. The reason: just in time, they were invited to be godfathers of the incoming Duke in June 1792. The spouse Louisa Isabella, Lady of our Duke Friedrich Wilhelm von Nassau-Weilburg was pregnant and the birth was expected mid of June..

On Thursday, June 14th. 1792  the Prince William Georg August Belgicus was born in the castle of Kirchheimbolanden,   His title was Wilhelm I.  The 2nd  godfahter war Prince Wilhelm V. von Oranien-Ditz * 8.3.1748, † 9.4.1806

On 24 June 1813 in Weilburg, Wilhelm married his first wife, Princess Louise of Saxe-Hildburghausen (28 January 1794 HildburghausenThüringen – 6 April 1825, Biebrich orWeilburg). She was a daughter of Frederick, Duke of Saxe-Altenburg (who, until 1826, had been the last Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen) and his wife, Duchess Charlotte Georgine of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
